Hi, my name is Stefanie! With an f, not a ph, because yes that is important! I live in the valley in northern California with my wonderful husband, 3 cats, and a conure. During the day, I work with tigers, lions, and bears, but at night I love to cook and bake. A homemade meal is always better than takeout or frozen foods.
This blog is a way for me to share recipes that I try and love so that all of you can try them too. I also hope this will help push me to try new things, that I otherwise might have been too intimidated to try. I hope you enjoy!

Ohh, woow…. I’ve got some sort of irrational morbid fear from every living creature other than human beings… I can’t at all get cuddly with animals… The only animal I ever dare to touch is a baby kitten, but even their claws scare me: had it not be so inhumane to declaw them I would’ve done that and kept one… Oh also I would need to file back it’s teeth.
…now maybe my irrational fear is actually “fear of being hurt by a species I am scared of”…… eep!

I’ve grown up with animals, so I’ve always loved them. And at least you have a fear of them… my fear receptor is broken so giant cats don’t seem to scare me anymore 😉
